“My Name Is Khan” Starts Shooting From 15th December

Y NAME IS KHAN is finally going to start shoot from 15th December. This film is one of the most intriguing projects as well as one of the most hyper budgeted movies in recent times. After all, KARAN JOHAR is back from a hiatus from his forte… Direction. And the box-office would be on an overdrive as and when this movie releases as one of the most successful pair in Bollywood SHAHRUKH KHAN & KAJOL are the leading pair in the cast.

So, why did we say that it is also intriguing? Well, Shahrukh Khan portrays the the character of RIZVAN KHAN, who suffers from ASPERGERS SYNDROME. Many of you must be wondering what the hell it is… Well, it seems to be a state of a person who has difficulties in social interaction as well as restricted and stereotyped patterns of behavior and interests. Hmmm… sounds something on the lines of Tare Zameen Par with a cast of grown ups… We are obviously kidding guys n gals. SHIBANI BHATIJA, the Screenplay Writer of the film has done extensive research on this disorder. What ever it is … it does evoke some interest. Lets see what is in store for us.

To say I’m nervous is still understating my state of mind because there are some moments in the day where I do feel extremely incapable of handling this complex film. But I suppose venturing into new territory and tapping into the right tone is a challenge I look forward to taking on. My Name Is Khan is being produced under the banner of DHARMA PRODUCTIONS. The shooting is planned to commence in Los Angeles. The ensemble cast too has been finalized. Music is being recorded as of now. Another worthy mention is the Director of Photography RAVI K CHANDRAN that is actually shooting this movie for visula appeal too. Johar and Chandran would be scouting for final locations along with Production Designer SHARMISHTA ROY and Costume Designers MANISH MALHOTRA & SHIRAJ SIDDIQUE.

Daughter Payal Rohatgi Locked Up In Bigg Boss 2

PAYAL ROHATGI, who is participating in reality show Bigg Boss 2, was deeply missed by her mother on the Daughter’s Day. Her mother getting emotional, spoke… “We miss her terribly and wish her well and want her to know how precious she is to us. A son is a son till he gets a wife, but a daughter is daughter for life.”

Prabhas’s ‘Billa’ starts rolling

Gopikrishna Movies Pvt Ltd, the production house that presented super hit films like ‘Krishna Veni’, ‘Bhakta Kannappa’, ‘Amara Deepam’, ‘Manavuri Pandavulu’, ‘Bobbili Brahmanna’ and ‘Thandra Paparayudu’; is resuming its production after a long gap with the new film ‘Billa’. Senior star Krishnam Raju and Prabhas are in the lead roles with Anushka playing the heroine. The film ‘Billa’ is made in the direction of Meher Ramesh and is produced by Prabhod and Narendra together.

The shooting of this film began on 9th on the eve of Vijaya Dasami, in their office. UV Satyanarayana Raju performed the pooja for the formal launch. The first shot was taken on the pictures of deities, while Dr Mohan Babu sounded the clap-board and daughters of Krishnam Raju -Sai Praseeda, Sai Prakeerthi and Sai Pradeepthi switched on the camera jointly.

On this occasion popular director SS Rajamouli handed the script to Meher Ramesh, the director of ‘Billa’.

Prominent persons from Tollywood like K.Raghavendra Rao, Vadde Ramesh, C.Ashwini Dutt, Bhogavalli Prasad, JayaKrishna, JayaSudha, Chalapathi Rao, ‘Dil’ Raju, Chadalawada brothers Bhagavan & Pulla Rao and others participated in the event.

Speaking to the audience director Meher Ramesh, “Gopikrishna Movies is well known as a production house that never compromises on the story or the production costs. I am lucky to get an opportunity to work for this production house. The super hit Tamil film ‘Billa’ is the base for this film titled the same as ‘Billa’. Prabhas is paired with Anushka and Namitha and KrishnamRaju is paired up with JayaSudha in another set of lead roles. The regular shooting will commence from the third week of October. It will be done in the locales of Malaysia, Bangkok, Dubai and Vizag. We are introducing Tamil cinematographer Soundarya Rajan to Telugu cinema through this film.”

Producers said the film will be made on high standards, having foreign technicians working in it to bring the stylish look for the flick.

The main cast of the film includes Krishnam Raju, Prabhas, Anushka, Namitha, Rehman and others. Writers are Thota Prasad, Mohan Deekshit and Kannan.

Music will be composed by ManiSharma, Camera work will be handled by Soundarya Rajan.

Art by AS Prakash; Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh; Dance sequences are being choreographed by RajuSundaram, Prem Rakshith, Brunda and Kalyan; Makeup by Srikanth.

The film is presented by Krishnam Raju, Produced by Prabhod and Narendra. Dialogues, Screenplay and direction are done by Meher Ramesh.

Ramcharan gallops away

The scene was set and the horse is in but the change is actor Ram Charan Tej didn’t call for a body doubles. He is one amongst the few daring actors of Tollywood and did break the custom.

Adding up to the pep, the actor says, “Horse riding has always fascinated me and it’s a joyful experience. I even visit my friend’s stable whenever I feel like going on a ride.”

The high spirited actor is elated that his hobby came handy for his profession so early in his career. “I was determined to do things as my forthcoming movie demanded such skills,” said the descendant of Chiru family who will chase henchmen along with romancing damsels, riding on a horse. Spectators will be glad to see an actor with skills and performing things that are quite real.

Sneha Ullal’s bourn

Already elated by her upcoming flick ‘Nenu Meeku Telusa’, Sneha Ullal has now given her consent to share screen space with Sushanth by signing the dotted line. Ullasamga Utsamga was the debut venture of this endowed actress who says that its an interesting role.

It was no surprise when people of Tollywood queued behind the girl, charmed by her riveting looks and graceful manner. She regrets for not doing ‘Maska’ yet the actress played alongside Salman Khan in the Hindi ‘Lucky’.

“I am devotee of my work and I worship it,” states Sneha Ullal, who after playing a lover girl and a cop is now out to take up challenging demeanors. The new found star for Tollywood is gearing up to make it big in the tinselville. Best of luck!

Gowri’s Golden Ticket

‘Bunny’ saw the dashing entry of a debutant Gowri Munjal, who is now boomeranging back with the quaintly titled film ‘Kousalya Supraja Rama’. The actress is pitted against Sivaji in the film said to be a wholesome family drama.

The beautiful maiden in her next is sharing screen space with Srikanth and Charmee in the much anticipated project of Ramanaidu’s. “My role carries interesting notes,” said Gowri whose subsequent release Sri Krishna became a dud in the box office. Her boasted career went down in a flash which made her change destinations to Kannada ‘Sukumara’ and Tamil ‘Singakutty’.

Now she holds high hopes on her come back sled that might attain her, the much needed stardom in Tollywood. The voters are the audience who will have to elect her for the senate of Telugu Cinema.

Happy Days Hero For Six-Pack

The six pack mania seems to be the best way for struggling stars to make a statement. What started as a song stunt by Shahrukh Khan has turned out to be a mass revolution and in no time al the young heroes right from Bollywood to stars in the south have taken to the six pack syndrome. Now, another name is added into the list and this lad is none other than Nikhil who came up with an energetic performance in the blockbuster hit ‘Happy Days’. It is heard that Nikhil has begun working hard on his muscles and soon he wants to join the six pack league and flaunt his abs. For now, Nikhil’s dance has been received well and with the addition of six packs to his credit, it remains to be seen if that will boost up his career graph. He is all set to arrive with his new movie ‘Yuvatha’ so the change in shape might just be obvious by then.

Director Sukumar’s ARYA II Shooting Delayed

ARYA II is the only hope for director SUKUMAR to get back on track. He gave his one and only one success in ARYA. After that JAGADAM, also directed by him failed to click at the box office. And after a gap of 4 years… Sukumar has embarked upon making a sequel of the successful film. The star cast of the movie is lead by ALLU ARJUN, KAJAL AGARWAL and SHRADDHA ARYA. B V V S N PRASAD and ADITYA BABU are jointly producing this prestigious venture. Cinematography is being handled by R D RAJASEKHAR.

Although the Arya II was announced a while ago, the shooting of the movie is getting delayed due to the unavailability of the Cinematographer Rajasekhar. We just hope that the movie’s shooting starts as soon as possible and hopefully deliver a fantastic entertainer.

Can Prabhas Match Up To Ajith’s Style Factor In “Billa” Remake

BILLA, a Tamil Blockbuster, had AJITH to take care of the style factor. By the way, for any under informed fans… BILLA was a Tamil film starring AJITH KUMAR & NAYANATARA in the lead roles and was directed by VISHNU VARDHAN. A Telugu remake of this film, starring PRABHAS as the male lead and ANUSHKA SHETTY as the female lead, is being launched on 9th October on the eve of Vijaya Dasami. This, yet to be titled, movie would be directed by MEHER RAMESH (director of Kantri) under the banner of GOPI KRISHNA MOVIES.

According to some reports, a major part of this film will be featured in the locales of Malaysia and Korea. Meher Ramesh is currently enjoying these places to identify the locations. Although the other female lead is not yet finalized, most probably PRIYAMANI or BHAVANA might sign up.

The first and the foremost problem for Meher, would be to transform Prabhas in to a stylish dude who oozes sophistication. It is not a secret that last attempt by Prabhas to get stylized in MUNNA was a damp squib. Not only the movie was disastrously flop, he even received flak for his mismatch of LOOKS Vs ACCENT. For any good actor, voice is one of the most important asset. And only good actors can modulate their voice according to the character’s demands. Prabhas has been failing in this department by repeating the same modulation since his first film. I mean just imagine him with his native accent (yaasa) acting cool as Ajith in Billa… Laughable… Isn’t it? Lets hope that Prabhas would work hard on not just looks… but also his style and accent.
